A Few Photos From Our Bus Tour

Here are a select few photos from our bus tour today...

Not such a great photo of a great masterpiece, this is the cathedral of Notre Dame. It's hard to see in the photo, but it has been restored recently and looks really nice.

This is a panoramic photo of the Place de la Concorde, taken from near the American Embassy. In the photo, you can make out the obelisk given to France by Egypt, the National Assembly building, and in the background, the Hôtel des Invalides.


This restaurant sits off the Champs Elysée in the gardens. It was bright and sunny which really helped the colors come through.

One of my favorite restaurants when I come to Paris is Ladurée. Famous for its macarons, it is also a great food spot in the City of Lights. The people were extra nice and I had sea bass with mango and citrus.

After lunch, we continued along the big avenue and noticed the offices of Louis Vuitton currently undergoing renovation. But, instead of the usually ugly scaffolding you might see, they have hidden it all under a great big Louis Vuitton bag. How chic!

Continuing even further, here's a shot of the Arc de Triomphe. As with many of the monuments in Paris, it is being updated/renovated as well.

Everywhere we go we see the campaign logo for the Paris bid to get the 2012 Olympics. Even on the Eiffel Tower !

Continuing on our tour and along the Seine, here you can see book sellers (bookinistes) and vendors selling posters, post cards, prints, and various other sorted items.
